Numeric Simulator for the Analysis of Transients due to Fault in Electric Networks

The objective of the paper is to create a numerical simulator for three-phase circuits related to medium voltage power systems. Numerical Simulator allows the elimination of the difficulties encountered made in the analysis of regimes transients caused by faults. Several types of faults can be analyzed using the virtual simulator conceived by us. This paper is concerned with the numeric simulation of transient regimes produced in an electric distribution network, caused by a double grounding and by broken conductor grounded towards the consumer. Several parameters are used for the determination of their importance in the evolution of the transient, such as: the initial phase of the voltage at the faulty place, the grounding resistance at the faulty place and the method used for grounding the neutral point of the electric network.
