A New Modified Method for Cycle Slip Detection and Repair in BeiDou Triple-Frequency Positioning

To ensure the correct carrier phase observation is the vital step for attaining the real-time precise positioning. The carrier phase measurement gets its precise power since its accuracy can reach at a millimeter level, which is widely used in GNSS high precise positioning at present. However, there are many interferences in signal-tracking, such as the loss-of-lock, which was named cycle slip. Cycle slip undoubtedly has an influence on the accuracy of positioning. Whether it can be detected or repaired, Cycle slip will seriously degrade the accuracy of the precise positioning. Hence, cycle slip must be detected completely and repaired immediately. This paper presents the experimental investigation of the method for cycle slip detection and repair in BeiDou triple-frequency positioning. Firstly, three relatively optimal combinations are singled out, which are represented as extra-wide-lane (EWL) combination, wide-lane (WL) combination, narrow-lane (NL) combination respectively. They conform to longer wavelength and lower noise level. Then, an additional combination is put forward as a complementary to deal with the insensitive cycle slips. In the end, the model is verified by the experiment based on BeiDou triple-frequency data. The experiment results reveal that the proposed method can detect small and big cycle slips even the insensitive ones and cycle slips can be repaired timely even in high dynamic environment.
