An AETA Electromagnetic Disturbance Anomaly Detection Method based on Fractal Theory

In view of the Multi-component Seismic Monitoring System (AETA)'s electromagnetic disturbance data (ED data), a fractal-theory based algorithm is proposed for anomaly detection. Higuchi fractal dimension algorithm is executed for ED data to figure out the fractal dimension sequence. The sliding interquartile method can compute the abnormal index of the fractal dimension sequence, and then the anomaly of the electromagnetic disturbance can be detected. This method fills the gap in nonlinear processing of ED data. And the experiment result in the northern central area of the Longmenshan fault zone shows that the anomaly of AETA's electromagnetic disturbance can be detected, whose ability to reflect earthquake is also assessed.
