Comparison of Extruded and Capstone Meshes for Finite Element Analysis

Meshes generation is often one of the most time-consuming and challenging aspects of performing an analysis of a radio-frequency (RF) design. New powerful tools are becoming available that simplify the mesh generation task. This paper introduces a new meshing tool - Capstone - to the community with comparison to an extruded mesh. The example presented is a coaxial line since it is readily meshed both by extrusion and using Capstone.
