ECG Analysis and Abnormality Detection

Nowadays, heart disease has become the major cause of death all over the world. In order to prevent that it is necessary to diagnosed heart disease first, and analyzing ECG signals the most efficient way to do that. In this paper we are proposing a method by which abnormalities in the function of the heart can be the abnormalities. The steps involved are noise removing, peaks detection, feature extraction and comparison. For all these steps we are using MIT-BIH ECG database. We are developing corresponding algorithm in MATLAB environment.
