Abstract:

An improved performance and an opportunity for compatible spectrum with existing and planned signals must be provided by any novel proposal of signal modulation design for future generation of global navigation satellite systems (GNSS). The new Minimum Shift Keying - Binary Coded Symbol (MSK-BCS) modulation succeeded in providing such requirements through the interesting MSK-BCS4 signal. In this paper, a set of new efficient MSK-BCS modulated signals are proposed and their essential characteristics are given. The simulation results confirm that, like the MSK-BCS4 signal, the proposed schemes bring important characteristics for GNSS and offer better performance regarding noise and multipath compared to classical signals.
