A Portable Colloidal Silver Generator with an Integrated Sprayer

The colloidal silver is an ecologic antiseptic medium utilized for elimination of germs and fungi. It can be used for sterilization of automotive and stationary heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) systems. In the paper a programmable portable generator used for preparation of such a medium is presented. The device contains an electrochemical reactor used for in-situ preparation of the colloidal silver solution, microcontroller control board and a precise dispensing circuit with integrated piston actuator and sprayer. The device includes a control panel enabling the operator to modify the solution concentration and the ejected dose of the silver colloid. In the paper the mechatronic control system for solution preparation and dispensing is also discussed. The basic results of a control analysis of the produced solutions are also presented. At the present moment the prototype device undergoes extensive tests in various operating conditions in order to verify the efficiency of sanitization.
