Automatic Detection of Muscle Mobilization Order in Sling Exercise Therapy

Aiming at extracting the muscle mobilization order during the process of sling exercise therapy (S-E-T) rehabilitation, an automatic detection method was proposed in this paper. The wireless electromyogram (EMG) acquisition system was used to collect the surface electromyography (sEMG) signals of eight muscles during the sling exercise. By using the Teager-Kaiser Energy (TKE) operator combined with the sliding window, the onset of muscle activation was detected accurately. The muscle mobilization order was obtained sorting the onset time of muscle activation. The results show that the muscle mobilization order of S-E-T can reflect the standard of the action when the patient performs S-E-T rehabilitation training.
