Bulk Sensor Data Sharing Using Millimeter Wave V2X for Enhanced Safety and Comfort in Mobility

The 60 GHz frequency band is widely recognized as a globally unlicensed band, and commercial products utilizing this band, based on the IEEE802.11ad standard, have already been deployed for various indoor applications. The use of 60 GHz in vehicle-to-everything communication (V2X) is expected to provide enhanced safety and comfort in mobility. In order to effectively apply 60 GHz for V2X, it is necessary to first understand its propagation characteristics and performance in mobility. In this paper, the propagation characteristics and performance for V2X using 60 GHz based on the IEEE802.11ad protocol is evaluated.
