Flexible OTA Probe Setups for Massive MIMO Base Station Testing

The physical dimension of multi-probe anechoic chamber (MPAC) depends largely on the number of antenna probes in over the air (OTA) testing for massive multiple-input-multiple-output (MIMO) base station (BS). The intention of this paper is to discuss a novel flexible probe configuration based on particle swarm optimization (PSO) algorithm to reduce the number of antenna probes required. Simulation results show that this method can reproduce the accurate spatial correlation of base station with a small number of antenna probes.
