Optical filters based on D-shaped single mode fibers with polymeric Bragg gratings

In this paper, a polymeric Bragg grating is covered on a D-shaped single mode optical fiber, which is side-polished on a convex polymeric structure formed on a glass substrate. The Bragg grating is transferred from a photoresist, formed by using holographic interference lithography, onto a glass substrate by employing the micro-electro-mechanical systems (MEMS) technologies. The optical characteristics of the filter are measured by using a tunable laser.
