Research on the Frequency Adaptability of AC Protection Device in HVDC Island Operation Mode

Frequency adaptability is the important feature for AC protection device to adapt to the HVDC island operation, it plays an important role in the stable operation of HVDC island. Build up a RTDS simulation model for HVDC island operation system, and make up a closed-loop real-time simulation test system by connecting with the actual control-protection devices. By setting a variety of test items, carry out frequency adaptability test research for different types of AC protection devices, discovery the defects of misoperation for AC protection devices under HVDC island operation mode, provide an important reference for AC protection device to adapt to the HVDC island operation.
