An Hybrid Scheme for the Composite Scattering Characteristics of a Lossy Dielectric Target Above the Composite Scale Sea Surface

This paper has developed a hybrid scheme for the composite electromagnetic scattering from a lossy dielectric target above the electrically large and composite scale sea surface at high microwave frequency bands. The sea surface geometry is modelled as the composite structures of long waves and short waves by the Monte Carlo method. A Bragg Modified Small Scale Approximation (BMSSA) method is employed to calculate the sea facet scattering; the scattering upon the target facet is calculated by the Modified Equivalent Current Approximation (MECA) method; the coupling components are considered by the Geometrical Optics (GO) method with efficient ray tracing techniques. All the above processes allow the composite scattering problem of a target above the real electrically large sea to be solved accurately and efficiently.
