Extraction of the Resonator's Reactance/Susceptance Slope Based on EM Simulation

In this article a simple approach is proposed for extracting resonator's reactance/susceptance slope. The approach is based on the frequency response of a weak port coupling. The principles and steps are described in details. The approach's effectiveness is demonstrated through several examples. It is shown that the proposed approach has high accuracy and can be utilized to determine the reactance/susceptance slope of resonators with complicated structure. To the authors' knowledge, the numerical method of obtaining the reactance/susceptance slope has been discussed for the first time.
