Replication of Objects via Sensors and Computer Vision

This paper presents a device that will implement scanning technology in a new way. The device will utilize techniques used in computer vision algorithms for object scanning and replication. The device uses edge detection, triangulation, and clustering to create a point cloud which will form a precise model for 3D printing. The data organization and file creation will be completed through a developed encoder which converts raw output into a desired file format.
