Redundancy Performance of Levitation Controller for Maglev Vehicle EcoBee

The levitation of maglev vehicle depends on the electromagnets controlled by magnet drive (MD) controller. A single MD controls four electromagnets for levitation. The maglev vehicle for Incheon Airport Maglev Line has MD controller which does not have redundancy. The Master/Slave Swapper circuit was developed to ensure continuous operation of maglev vehicle. The performance of new MD controller was tested on-board maglev vehicle in operation on the test track.
