Modelling and Evaluation of Software Defined Network Architecture Based on Queueing Theory

Software Defined Networking (SDN) is an emerging paradigm which plays significant role within the field of computer networking. Understanding the operation and the performance of such networks is a prerequisite for developing and deploying such networks. In order to have a better grasp of how SDN networks work we propose an analytical model of the two main components of those type of network - the SDN controller which acts as a brain of the network and the SDN switch, which manages the physical transmission of the data.
