An Approach for the Spatial Analysis of Solar Energy Potential: A Case Study for Lviv Region

The spatial analysis of the solar energy potential allows us to identify the best locations to develop and build solar power stations. In this study we have analyzed the specificity of the territorial distribution of the solar energy potential for Lviv region - Ukraine. The approach to the spatial analysis of the solar energy potential was developed based on the usage of opportunities of the modern cloud technologies along with the corresponding mathematical model. The database for holding the input data for the spatial analysis of the potential of solar energy in the territory of the Lviv region is formed and appropriate calculation experiments are carried out.
