Insulation Monitoring on Common Grounding Methods in the Pulp and Paper Industry

This paper provides an overview of the benefits of using a low voltage insulation monitoring system on loads grounded with the three most common grounding methods. Premature motor failures caused by moisture will be discussed. Introduction to the concept of continuous offline monitoring will be discussed as well as its safety benefits. The advantage of using a low voltage monitoring signal will be explored.
