Design and Simulation of a Metabsorber Based on Equivalent Circuit Method

Based on the equivalent circuit method, an absorber with transmitting window is designed and simulated. This metabsorber is composed of periodic hexagonal elements, which includes dielectric, matching layer, impedance layer, metal FSS and the ground. This paper presents the equivalent circuit method of hexagonal ring array, and then builds the equivalent circuit of a double-layer absorber which composed of hexagonal ring array. Based on this double-layer absorber we designed a metabsorber which has absorption performance of more than 97.5% in X band, while transmission rate is more than -1dB below 1.5GHz.
