The “Chain Mode and Reverse Improving” Teaching Mechanism for the “Internet of Things” Major in Hunan University

A teaching mechanism is introduced in this paper as one of the teaching innovation achievements obtained in Hunan University. The so called “Chain Mode and Reverse Improving” (CMRI) mechanism is designed to strengthen the engineering abilities development in the Internet of Things (IoT) major in HNU. Curriculum in this major is divided into chains and their stages, allowing progressive ability development and precise reverse tracking. Evaluation and Improvement (E&I) measures are taken reversely based on the outcome of each chain such that stages are enhanced for better educational outcome in the future. The execution results of CMRI in recent years have demonstrated its feasibility and effectiveness and are being recommended to other majors and departments.
