Analysis of time-varying magnetic plasma by FDTD method

The finite difference time domain (FDTD) method is used to study the medium of time-varying magnetic plasma. First, analyse the propagation characteristics of a whistler wave in the one-dimensional cavity full with time-varying magnetoplasma. Then change the parameters of plasma medium to verify such magnetized plasma can generate terahertz wave. The results show that the output whistler wave get higher frequency and enhanced electric field after switch off the plasma source. Moreover, a terahertz wave with 0.3 THz is obtained which theoretically verifies that the terahertz wave can be generated by the time-varying magnetized plasma. And these conclusions provides some theoretical bases for the generation of terahertz wave.
