A novel broadband low-profile base station antenna with AMC reflector

A novel broadband low-profile base station antenna with AMC reflector is proposed in this paper. Due to the employment of the AMC reflector, the height of proposed antenna with AMC method can be reduced to 0.169λ

=136mm). The proposed antenna can achieve an impedance bandwidth of 43% from 1.72 to 2.66 GHz for SWR<;1.5, which can roughly cover LTE band. Furthermore, high isolation, stable 3-dB beamwidth and stable gain can be achieved over the operating frequency band.
