Chaos control of fractional order systems based on least square support vector machines and genetic algorithm

Based on the stability theorem of fractional order linear system, fractional order chaotic system is decomposed into stable linear parts and the corresponding nonlinear parts. An active controller is designed to compensate the nonlinear parts and thus chaotic system is suppressed to the equilibrium point. In order to improve the compensation ability of active controller, least square support vector machines (LS-SVM) is proposed to approximate the nonlinear parts and genetic algorithm (GA) is used to optimize the parameters of LS-SVM. Finally, fractional order Chen system is employed as an example, and the simulation results show that the proposed control method can achieve better control performance.
