A framework for simulation systems and technologies for medical training

Hospital emergencies can be considered casuistic events. The traditional model of medical training to respond to these critical moments has limitations. Given the variety of technical skills and the high-risk environment in which they are applied, the use of simulation of real situations is increasingly used in medicine. This learning model is an opportunity to train simple or complex technical skills, as well as the opportunity to learn from mistakes, without risk for patients. With this article, we aim to quantify the most recurrent simulation based medical education and show its importance as an educational strategy and as a way for improving patient safety.
