New approaches to the correction of metabolic disorders in experimental diabetes mellitus

In the study the synergism of synthetic organic compound L-14 from a series of substituted 1,3,4-thiadiazines and an endogenous antioxidant ascorbic acid in alloxan diabetes mellitus in rats was established for the first time. It was manifested in the reduction of accumulation of early protein glycation product - fructosamine, effect on free-radical processes and antioxidant protection.
