Power Generation Evaluation of Large-Scale Photovoltaic Systems Located on Inclined Plane

The authors first describe the modelling of a photovoltaic module (PV) based on the experimental data. Then, the models for estimating the irradiance on inclined plane are compared. In addition, discussed is the amount of the power generation of PV systems located on undulating landscape. As a result, the optimal combination for estimating the irradiance on inclined plane is Erbs model for decomposition model and Perez model for transposition model. Moreover, the amount of the power generation is influenced by a difference of short circuit current of the PV module. This is caused by a difference of the plane-of-array irradiance.
