Application of piezoelectric bimorphs in attitude adjustment of high speed rotation aircraft

In order to realize the precise control of rapid self-rotating flight vehicle and extend application field of piezoelectric bimorph. This paper puts forward a new type of attitude control method of self-rotating flight vehicle based on variable centroid system of piezoelectric bimorph. The output torque is generated by the proof mass of piezoelectric bimorph, and the output torque is amplified by the centrifugal force and the effect of gyroscopic precession. In order to verify the feasibility of this scheme, the structure dynamics model of the bimorph - mass block system was established by using Hamilton principle. With the Finite Element Software-ANSYS, the simulation was built. At last, the rigid dynamic model of warhead was established by using Lagrange principle. The static and dynamic analysis and simulation results show that the design of the variable centroid control system can meet the needs of the attitude adjustment, and the amplification of the output torque can be realized.
