Fractal analysis related to tumour growth in lungs: A review

In this paper a case of a particular type of tumour growth in human lungs has been considered. The CT-Scan data of lungs from UF Health (University of Florida Health) Jacksonville were taken and ImageJ software of version 1.51j8 by Wayne Rasband National Institutes of Health, USA was used to analyze the data. The work correlates the changes in Fractal dimension with dosage variations. It has been observed that when there is a change in the number of pixels of an image the fractal dimension change. The novelty of the work lies in the incorporation of Frac_Lac plug-in in the earlier software which results in improved analysis compared to earlier Box-Counting method. In addition, analysis of different parameters has also been discussed.
