Development of PEMFC emulator using electrical equivalent circuit

This paper presents the fuel cell emulator based on proton exchange membrane fuel cell (PEMFC) model. The fuel cell emulator is built or developed based on the specification of the real-time model of Horizon H-500. The idea is to develop low cost and simple fuel cell structure of fuel cell equivalent electrical system. The emulator performances are validated using the experimental data of the electrical equivalent circuit that had been scaled out to 10:1 for simpler configurations and low cost of construction. This emulator model will be analyzed based on temperature and pressure variation. Both model satisfied the requirement of high efficiency.
