Characteristics of wireless power transfer system with two-dimensional transmission coils

Characteristic analysis of an inductive wireless power transmission (WPT) system with two transmitting (Tx) and one receiving (Rx) coils is presented. The coupled circuit model of the 2-D WPT system is derived and the voltage transfer ratio and power transmission efficiency are then calculated from the derived model. The simulation and experimental results are carried out to verify the proposed modeling and analysis.
