Predictive method of improvement of the generators rated power usage in inductive heating

Utilizing the resources of a power source in induction heating process requires mutual inductive matching of the source and the heated load. In the induction heating, the load impedance varies over a wide range, not only for different types of inductor-charge configurations but also during the heating process itself. These phenomena reduces drastically the efficiency of the source. In the article, a method of predictive selection of the choke value setting is proposed for the newly developed resonant waveform design with a controlled series choke. The elaborated solution significantly improves the impedance matching of the source-load system during the heating process.
