Liver sub-pixel detection method on magnetic resonance images

Liver is an important organ, and magnetic resonance is the most commonly used hepatology method in current. Precisely liver lesion detection can help doctor diagnose. But organ and lesion identifying edge in medical images precisely is the key technology to insure the precision of the medical clinical and treatment. According the common sub-pixel algorithms of edge detection algorithm merits, a new sub-pixel edge detection algorithm which the Zernike moment and the sigmoid function fitting methods has been proposed using liver edge detection in MRI. This algorithm adopting marks calculate the Zernike moments parameters, employs the Sigmoid function fitting to Zernike marks obtains the Zernike distance threshold step depth threshold. The experiment demonstrates that the precision of the proposed algorithm achieves liver edge and lesion cell edge. This methods has a well satisfies the requirements for medical processing, and has a good universal for other organ edge detection in magnetic resonance imaging or computed tomography.
