HLS efficiency in the case of image moments algorithm implementation

A market offers more and more High-Level Synthesis (HLS) tools used for complex digital system design by applying abstract models. In this paper, using SystemC, HLS and programmable logic, an algorithm for calculating zero, first and second order image moments was implemented on several approaches. Effects accomplished by different optimization methods and coding style were analyzed. HLS efficiency and hardware implementations were compared with efficiency of the same algorithm implementations on general purpose processor.
