Research on GEO earth observing efficiency promotion based on optimal path planning algorithm

With the development of high resolution optical load and satellite attitude control technology, the GEO optical remote sensing satellite will become an important development direction of aerial remote sensing satellite. So how to improve GEO earth observing efficiency is becoming the essential problem to be solved. According to the characteristic of GEO, we put forward an optimal path planning algorithm that centered on transformation from geographic coordinate space to field of view. In this algorithm, it should first transfer the closed region with irregular boundary on the ground into the reference plane in the effective satellite load vison through the coordinate transformation relationship, and next search for feasible solutions using branch definition method, then cut off the non-feasible solution in the solution space based on pruning strategy, and finally cut down some suboptimal feasible solutions using the the optimized index until a feasible solution is obtained. The experiment results demonstrated the superiority of our algorithm in searching speed, accuracy and robustness, so it can meet the high performance needs for improving GEO earth observing efficiency.
