A study of stand-alone power supply for “small green base station” with photovoltaic system

We propose a self-sustaining power supply system for a small radio base station. The system can reduce the power consumption by switching the radio unit from active to wainting mode. We propose a threshold control method for determining the waiting mode according to the volume of traffic. We compared it with a schedule control and proved that the threshold control performs better.
