Improved eight-segment PWM scheme with non-equally distributed zero-vector intervals for a three-phase isolated buck matrix-type rectifier

In this paper zero-vector intervals of eight-segment PWM scheme based on space vector modulation (SVM) is optimized for three-phase isolated buck matrix-type rectifier. With the proposed non-equally distributed zero-vector intervals of eight-segment PWM scheme, the output inductor current ripple of the converter is reduced comparing to that of the equally distributed zero-vector intervals. The steady state analysis of inductor current ripple is addressed with considering the effect of duty-cycle losses. In addition, the output inductor current ripple of the original eight-segment PWM scheme with equally distributed zero-vector intervals and the proposed eight-segment PWM scheme with non-equally distributed zero-vector intervals is compared in the steady state analysis and is verified by the experimental results.
