Modeling of thermal radiation of combustion products in the gas generator

The main way of warming and reducing the viscosity of the hard-produced oil grades is the use of solid-fuel gas generators. The use of ballistic fuels in gas generators with the introduction of a variety of coolers of different concentrations gives the possibility to adjust the temperature and emission characteristics of the homogeneous combustion products to the level determined by the production technology. The paper describes the methodology and calculation results of the combustion products thermal radiation in the solid-fuel gas generator. As a coolant, water was considered. The combustion products represented a combination of the monodisperse system consisting of soot particles and the gaseous phase. The computational experiment method was used to investigate the influence of coolant concentrations (0%, 10% and 25%) on the temperature, spectral and integral emission characteristics (flux density and emissivity factor) under different pressures (0.1 MPa and 7 MPa) of the combustion products. It has been established that the introduction of coolant additives in the case of the gaseous phase only in the combustion products has a stronger impact on the value of the flux density than on the emissivity factor. Increasing the soot content leads to increasing the spectral and integral emission characteristics even with the introduction of additives which reduce the temperature of the combustion products. The paper presents the graphic dependence of integral characteristics on the radiating layer thickness.
