Test method for surface charging on spacecraft dielectric materials in low-pressure environment

Spacecraft surface charging effect is one of the major threats on spacecraft operational safety. In ground study, electron guns with large incident face are always adopted as simulation sources, and the surface charging test is carried out in Low-pressure environment. This paper focuses on emission stability and beam current uniformity. The results show that the electron gun should be used in conventional mode, the preheating time is 15min, the working time is 70min, and the test sample should be placed on the metal bracket. The research can offer references for studying on spacecraft surface charging effect in ground study.
