Interaction of sheet electron beam with a zero space garmonic of comb slow-wave structure in the clinotron

Results of theoretical studies of interaction of sheet electron beam with a zero space garmonic of comb slow-wave structure are presented. The gain and the efficiency are calculated for different input signal levels and the inclination angle of the electron beam relative to the surface of the slow-wave structure. The results obtained have broadened the concept of clinotron as a terahertz-wave radiation source, which can not only generate but also effectively amplify HF oscillations.
