The design of millimeter-wave quasi-optical power synthesizer

The high power technology is widely applied in satellite communication and military systems. Based on the theory of beam waveguide(BWG) as well as polarization wire grid,we presents a quasi-optical power synthesizer working at millimeterwave band. The designed power synthesizer can make electromagnetic wave traveling in two different ways with orthogonal polarization directions and combine them at a common output port. The designed quasi-optical synthesizer is fabricated and tested. The tested transmission efficiency of the two ways is above 83% and the designed synthesizer can working with a peak power of hundreds kilowattt(KW).
