Optical transmission system board fault diagnosis based on fault tree

Traditional fault diagnosis of optical transmission system board mainly relies on experience, resulting in lack of common fault diagnosis method. In response to this, PQ1 board of OptiX2500+ optical transmission system is selected as a research object. After principle analyzing and fault tree analysis, a fault tree model is constructed, which can be used in fault diagnosis and maintenance. Several diagnosis examples are adopted to validate the fault tree. The result indicates that it is efficient, reliable and accurate.
