Identification of a cylindrical target using RCS measurements made along a radar trajectory

This paper concerns the identification of a cylindrical target as seen by a radar traveling on a trajectory. It describes a procedure for determining the dimensions and aspect angle of the cylindrical target using radar cross section (RCS) measurements made along the radar trajectory. A comparison between the RCS measurements and the computed RCS is shown and the dimensions and the aspect angle of the unknown cylindrical target are deduced.
