Study on optimal design of WPT resonators based on genetic algorithm

The power transfer efficiency and coil offset degree are two key indicators in wireless charging system of electric vehicles. In order to achieve the maximum offset degree under the premise of meeting a certain transfer efficiency, an optimal design method of resonator is proposed based on real value genetic algorithm (GA). According to the Biot-Savart theorem, an algebraic mutual inductance expression that suits for computer programming is derived. Then the real value GA is implemented based on the algebraic expression and optimal resonator parameters under given constraint conditions are obtained. An experimental platform is constructed and experiment results show well consistency with optimal results, and the validity and reasonability of the method are verified.
