A two-dimensional image stabilization stage driven by piezoelectric actuators

Optical image stabilization system occupy an important place in infrared imaging products. Piezoelectric actuators have great advantages such as high-response and high-precision. A 2D stage using linear piezoelectric actuators is designed to achieve image stabilization. The piezoelectric linear actuator contains a shrinkage amplification mechanism and a stretching amplification mechanism, which can provide large stroke for the stage. Experimental results show the actuator has 67 μm displacements under the sine voltage of 120 V and the displacement is proportional to the voltage, the change of frequency has little effect on the displacement under the low frequency. It proves that the design scheme is feasible and provides a basis for integrated stabilization institution.
