Novel multiplexing sensing technique combining Microwave Photonics and Low Coherence Interferometry

In this paper, we present a novel multiplexed optical interrogator for remote length measurement based on Low Coherence Interferometry. This technique exploits the benefits of Microwave Photonics to increase considerably the optical path difference (OPD) range and the system sensitivity compared to previous contributions.
