Integration of a hole coupler with a turnstile for sideband-separation

A turnstile exhibits excellent performance for linear polarization discrimination and inherently splits each polarization into two even parts. Instead of recombining these parts, as is done with an orthomode transducer, we use each output to feed a sideband-separating assembly. A hole coupler is used for LO injection along each path since it provides machinable features while demonstrating broadband and high isolation performance.
