Analysis of voltage dip (sag) testing results of a 15 kW PWM adjustable speed drive (ASD)

Comprehensive voltage dip (sag) testing was performed on a 15 kW PWM ASD at the University of the Witwatersrand voltage dip facility (South Africa). This paper presents the testing procedure, testing results and observations from the testing. The observations are correlated with the architecture of the particular ASD tested.
