Abstract:

The FFT-truncated multilevel interpolation method is used to accelerate the solution of the volume electric field integral equation pertinent to the simulation of wellbore resistivity measurements of hydraulic fractures. The scattering problem includes geometrical features at multiple length scales and the analysis is in the mixed-frequency regime, where the discretization lengths are dictated not just by the wavelengths/skin depths but also by the geometrical features. Numerical results validate the method's accuracy and efficiency.
