Biomechanical Properties of Human Aorta from Dynamic Biaxial Loading

Nonlinear anisotropic Fung-type strain energy density function (SEDF) was utilized to predict the biomechanical behavior of human aortic tissue under sub-failure oscillatory biaxial loading. The results showed that the rate dependency of the tissue was significant and the need to develop a viscoelastic model for aortic tissue was highlighted.
